Alan thank you for sharing your thoughts about your fathers life and his fight with the big C it has been a privilege to read. Having lost my mum to cancer august 2002 I know that this tribute to your father is about as honest as it gets, I commend your work and can honestly say I find it warm, compassionate, informative and very moving. I did not have the pleasure of ever meeting your dad, it would appear that some of his traits have been passed on, I'm sure he would have been proud of this tribute, but sounds like what would please him more was those that read it will take comfort in its content.     Andy Judson.

A marvellous tribute to a wonderful man who enriched the lives of all who knew him with his cheerful outlook, his sense of humour and his willingness to help anyone less fortunate than himself in any way he could. He will always be remembered with fondness and pride at Age Concern Hyndburn for his services to our older people. Patrick Collister (Chief Officer Age Concern Hyndburn)
