My name is Alan Moreton, at 1.11pm on July 9th 2002 I lost my father Charles 'Charlie' Moreton after a two year battle with prostate cancer.  To show the pride I have for him, I decided to construct this website in his honour.

 

Charlie was one of eight children born to George and Mary Moreton from Liverpool.  He was born on the 12th of March 1929.

On leaving school he soon followed his elder brother 'George' into the joinery trade, which was to become the one most thing he loved apart from his family.  He married Dorothy McCabe on Boxing Day 1959 and soon they had a baby daughter whom they named Lynn, sadly she soon contracted Gastroenteritis and died from malnutrition four weeks later.  On January the 13th 1962 they where to become parents again this time to Carol and later that same year Alan (myself) was born on December the 6th.
